Privacy for Checkers
Local game data
This browser keeps the men and kings on the dark squares. Computer-game progress is saved here, as are the difficulty you picked and the scores from local play. An anonymous online-session token is stored so that a reload can resume an online game that is still active. Clearing browser storage for this site takes away those local records and the token, without deleting records held on the server.
Online game data
Supabase keeps an anonymous player record, a queue entry, the current position, and the history of moves, which is what lets matchmaking and synchronization work. Thirty days after a session credential is issued, it no longer works. A room goes idle and then times out when ten minutes pass without a move. Ending a match does not cause that match’s record to be deleted on its own. Keep the online-session token private.
Hosting and external services
IP addresses and request details may be processed, as part of providing their services, by the web host (Render or Vercel), Supabase, and external font providers. You can restrict third-party cookies and third-party storage in the browser’s privacy settings.
Advertising
Google and its partners may set cookies, or identifiers like them, on a page where Google advertising is enabled, for showing ads, measuring them, and preventing fraud. The summary above is not a substitute for Google’s advertising privacy information, so use that page when you want Google’s full cookie notice. Partner sites are covered separately in how Google uses information from partner sites. Neither a publisher verification tag nor an ads.txt file loads an advertisement by itself.
Questions and removal requests
Send privacy questions and removal requests to warmeve.label@gmail.com. Say what you want changed, but leave every password and every session token out of the mail. The operator may need more information to pick out the relevant anonymous record.
